Geetanjali ‘Ardhanarishvara' Handpainted Madhubani Tussar Silk Saree
On this beautiful yellow and orange tussar silk saree with golden zari border we have handpainted Ardhanarishvara in authentic and traditional Madhubani painting style.
Ardhanarishvara is an androgynous deity composed of Shiva and his consort Shakti, representing the synthesis of masculine and feminine energies. According to many scriptures, everything in this Universe originates from Ardhanarishvara and goes back into Ardhanarishvara after completion of its lifetime.Ardhanarishvara is depicted as half-male and half-female, equally split down the middle. The right half is usually the male Shiva, illustrating his traditional attributes.
On the border of the saree we have represented Mithila women offering flowers and prayers to Shiva and Parwati. The aanchal also has peacocks and flora to make the saree holistically attractive and appealing.
Saree length : 6.5 m ( comes with a handpainted blouse of its own)
There might be slight difference in colour due to camera lights. This product is completely handwoven and handmade. cherish the little imperfections which makes it even more unique :)
