Lord Vishnu had vowed that he would visit the earth whenever adharma lifts its ugly head. Therefore, when humanity was at stake and when Adharma emerged in the form of a demon named Hayagriva, Lord Vishnu incarnated as a fish.The borders depict twin fish that symbolizes fertility, prosperity and good luck.
 
The significance of fifth day is to adore Goddess Skandmata. She represents motherly affection. Often worshipping Goddess Skandmata is said to bring wisdom, wealth, power and prosperity.
